Design development began on 9 May 2016 and civil works commenced on 11 August 2016.  The building included the installation of the Cupolex dome concrete slab system and was completed on 16 December.

Jobs were provided for 7 local Indigenous employees during the construction phase. 5 of these employees were sourced through Tiwi Enterprises locally and we were able to achieve a 42% Indigenous employment rate.
